Selepas beberapa kali ditunda disebabkan pandemik COVID-19, akhirnya senarai penuh calon bagi setiap kategori dalam Academy Awards, Oscars tahun 2021 dapat dikeluarkan.

Pada tahun ini berbeza dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya dimana acara ini akan diadakan secara live striming yang dipancarkan di seluruh dunia serenta. Oscars 2021 akan berlangsung pada 25 April 2021 bersama 2 pengacara di tempat berbeza iaitu Priyanka Chopra Jonas dan Nick Jonas masing-masing akan mengumumkan pemenang dari Los Angeles's Union Station dan juga di Dolby Theatre.

Nampaknya mata kini tertumpu kepada filem Minari yang tercalon dalam 6 kategori termasuk Best Picture. Selain itu, filem Mank daripada Netflix juga mendapat perhatian apabila tercalon dalam 10 kategori juga termasuk Best Picture.
