Tahun 2023, acara anugerah dimulakan dengan Golden Globe Awards. Anugerah ini danjurkan bagi mengiktiraf kecemerlangan dalam filem dan tv baik dalam dan luar negara. Sebanyak lebih 90 ahli Perstuan Media Asing Hollywood (HFPA) telah menjadi sebagai panel penilai bagi anugerah ini.
Jika edisi sebelumnya, malam anugerah tersebut tidak disiarkan di kaca tv, malahan tiada kehadiran media dan selebriti pun ketika itu. Kini mereka kembali bagi memeriahakan dan menjadikannya antara anugerah yang berprestij.
Acara ini telah dihoskan oleh seorang pengacara iaitu Jerrod Carmichael dan dimeriahkan dengan kehadiran barisan selebriti terkenal Hollywood seperti Jenna Ortega, Ram Charan, Andrew Garfield, Margot Robbie dan ramai lagi. Tidak lupa juga Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh juga berada di sana.
